The crest of F.C. Botoșani has evolved alongside the club's rapid rise through Romanian football. While the early emblems emphasised the club's name and local identity, recent redesigns have introduced a cleaner and more symbolic visual style that reflects the club's modern ambitions.
The club's first crest, used between 2001 and 2013, featured a red shield with a football at its centre, topped by a grey mural crown representing the city of Botoșani. The club's full name, "Fotbal Club Botoșani," was prominently displayed across the upper part of the shield, while the red, white and blue colours reflected both the club and the city's identity.
Following promotion to the Liga I in 2013, the crest received a modern update. The redesigned badge retained the familiar shield, football and mural crown but introduced a sleeker shape, improved proportions and a more polished appearance. In 2022, F.C. Botoșani unveiled a completely new visual identity. FC Botosani Club History
Founded in 2001, Fotbal Club Botoșani is one of the youngest clubs to compete in Romania's top flight. Based in the city of Botoșani in the historic region of Moldavia, the club was established with the ambition of bringing top-level football to one of Romania's most northern cities. Wearing its traditional red, white and blue colours, F.C. Botoșani has developed into a respected and competitive force in Romanian football.
The club spent its early years climbing through the Romanian league system, steadily progressing from the lower divisions.
