The Ground

The Majeski Stadium is a modern yet characterful venue that has served as the home of Reading FC since its opening in 1998. Situated on the southern edge of the town, the stadium marked a new era for the Royals following their departure from the historic Elm Park, and has since become a symbol of the club’s ambitions and progress.

  • With a capacity of just over 24,000, the stadium strikes a balance between size and intimacy. Its sweeping, bowl-shaped design ensures excellent sightlines from every seat, while the enclosed structure helps generate a strong and vibrant atmosphere, particularly during big fixtures and local derbies.

  • Though it lacks the long history of older grounds, the The Majeski Stadium Stadium has built its own identity through memorable matches, promotions, and loyal support.

  • Framed by the open skies and surrounding Berkshire landscape, the stadium’s clean, modern lines and uniform stands give it a unique sense of space and symmetry.
