US Quevilly-Rouen Métropole Crest History
The original crest of Union Sportive Quevillaise (US Quevilly), used from 1902 to 2015, consisted of a black circular emblem with gold detailing, topped by a mural crown representing Le Petit-Quevilly. At its centre were two stylised birds arranged around the intertwined USQ initials, with a football placed beneath them. The club’s traditional black-and-yellow colours gave the badge a distinctive identity that remained in use for more than a century.
In 2015, following the creation of US Quevilly-Rouen Métropole, the club adopted a new crest reflecting its partnership with FC Rouen. The shield combined the identities of both clubs: the upper section displayed the words "Quevilly – Rouen Métropole", while the lower half featured the historic crests of FC Rouen and US Quevilly side by side. The badge also adopted the colours red and yellow, symbolising the union between Rouen's traditional red and Quevilly's historic yellow and black. Although both clubs remained legally independent, the shared crest represented the metropolitan project launched to create a stronger professional club for the Rouen area.
After FC Rouen ended its collaboration in 2018, Quevilly-Rouen Métropole introduced a completely new identity. The current crest takes the form of a modern red shield featuring a stylised gold lion in motion above the initials QRM. The lion represents power, ambition, and the historic heraldry of Normandy, while the red-and-gold colour scheme reflects the club's new identity following the end of the partnership. The simplified, contemporary design marked the beginning of an independent era for QRM and symbolised its ambition to establish itself permanently in professional French football while retaining the metropolitan identity created in 2015.

US Quevilly-Rouen Métropole Club History
Founded in 1902, Union Sportive Quevillaise was established in Le Petit-Quevilly, a suburb of Rouen in Normandy. For much of its history, the club competed in the regional and amateur divisions while developing a reputation as one of France's strongest amateur football clubs. Despite operating outside the professional leagues, Quevilly regularly challenged higher-level opposition and became renowned for its giant-killing performances in the Coupe de France
The club earned national recognition through its remarkable Coupe de France campaigns. In 1927, Quevilly reached its first Coupe de France Final, becoming the first amateur club to do so, before losing to Olympique de Marseille. More than eighty years later, the club repeated the achievement by reaching the 2010 Coupe de France Final, defeating professional clubs including Stade Rennais and US Boulogne before again finishing as runners-up, this time against Paris Saint-Germain. In 2012, Quevilly returned to the final once more, eliminating Olympique de Marseille on the way before losing to Olympique Lyonnais. These extraordinary cup runs established the club as one of the greatest giant-killers in French football history.
After decades in amateur football, Quevilly steadily climbed the national pyramid. Promotion to the Championnat National in 2011 marked the club's arrival in the third tier, while continued sporting progress led to the creation of a strategic partnership with FC Rouen in 2015. As part of this project, the club adopted the name Union Sportive Quevilly-Rouen Métropole (QRM), aiming to unite football across the Rouen metropolitan area while remaining legally independent. Although the sporting partnership with FC Rouen ended in 2018, the name Quevilly-Rouen Métropole was retained.
The club achieved another historic milestone in 2017, earning promotion to Ligue 2 for the first time. Although relegated after one season, QRM quickly returned to the second tier in 2021, where it established itself as a competitive professional club. Throughout this period, Quevilly-Rouen Métropole became known for its organised style of play, prudent financial management, and ability to compete successfully against clubs with far greater resources.
Playing at the Stade Robert-Diochon, US Quevilly-Rouen Métropole continues to represent Le Petit-Quevilly and the wider Rouen Métropole. Although one of the smaller professional clubs in France, QRM remains respected for its remarkable Coupe de France tradition and its steady rise from amateur football to the professional ranks.
US Quevilly-Rouen Métropole's principal rivalry is with FC Rouen in the Rouen Derby, a fixture rooted in the close geographical proximity of the two clubs despite their former partnership between 2015 and 2018. Matches against Le Havre AC also carry regional significance as Norman football encounters.
