The Ground
Tannadice Park, located in the Coldside area of Dundee, has been the home of Dundee United F.C. since 1909. One of the most characterful grounds in Scotland, it combines historic architecture with piecemeal modern redevelopment, creating a stadium full of individuality and tradition.
With a capacity of just over 14,000, the stadium is fully seated and tightly enclosed, helping generate a strong atmosphere despite its modest size. The Jerry Kerr Stand, built in 1962, remains a landmark structure, notable as the first cantilever stand in Scottish football.
Opposite sits the George Fox Stand, while the Eddie Thompson Stand is home to the most vocal supporters, carrying on the legacy of the famous “Shed.” The ground’s quirky, slightly asymmetrical layout adds to its charm, giving Tannadice a unique feel compared to more modern stadiums.
One of its most remarkable features is its proximity to rivals, Dens Park is just a few hundred metres away, making this the closest pair of senior football stadiums in the UK.
