The Ground
King Power Stadium, located just south of Leicester city centre, has been the home of Leicester City Football Club since 2002. Built to replace the club’s historic Filbert Street ground, the modern all-seater stadium has witnessed some of the most iconic moments in Leicester’s history, including their incredible 2015–16 Premier League title win and famous Champions League nights.
With a capacity of around 32,262, King Power Stadium offers a blend of modern facilities and an intense matchday atmosphere. Its bowl-shaped design ensures uninterrupted sightlines, while fans remain close to the pitch, helping to create the noise and energy that the Foxes are known for.
The stadium is divided into four main stands: West Stand (Main Stand) – Houses the changing rooms, dugouts, executive boxes, media facilities, and the club’s hospitality suites. East Stand – Known for its large single-tier design, it often hosts the most vocal home support. Kop Stand (North Stand) – Traditionally the loudest section of the ground, home to passionate Foxes fans and a wall of blue and white on matchdays. South Stand – Often where visiting supporters are located, offering them an excellent view of the action.
Situated on Filbert Way and just a short walk from Leicester railway station (around 20–25 minutes), the stadium is well-connected for both home and away fans. There are also dedicated matchday shuttle buses from the city centre, along with nearby parking options. Its riverside location by the River Soar adds to its appeal, with the city’s bars, pubs, and restaurants within easy reach for pre- and post-match gatherings..
