The Ground
The MKM Stadium, located in West Park, Hull, has been the proud home of Hull City AFC since 2002. Built to replace the club’s historic Boothferry Park, the ground marked the beginning of a new chapter for the Tigers, providing a modern home that reflected the ambitions of both the club and the city. Beyond football, it also serves as the base for rugby league side Hull FC, making it a central sporting hub for the region.
With a capacity of around 25,400, the MKM Stadium offers a blend of modern design and passionate support. Its bowl-shaped structure ensures excellent sightlines from every seat, with acoustics that amplify the roar of the Hull City faithful. The East Stand is known as the heartbeat of the atmosphere, where the most vocal supporters gather to drive the team forward. The West Stand houses the main hospitality and media facilities, while the North and South Stands provide a mix of family seating and away allocations, balancing comfort with a true matchday edge.
The stadium’s story is one of regeneration and identity. Opened at the start of the 21st century, it symbolised Hull’s move into the modern football era, offering upgraded facilities, accessibility, and a fan-friendly experience. While it lacks the century-old history of some English grounds, it has already witnessed unforgettable moments — from Hull’s rise through the divisions to their first-ever appearance in the Premier League in 2008, and the highs of reaching the FA Cup Final in 2014.

Around the Stadium
Before and After the Match
The Dugout Bar (West Park). The official Hull City supporters’ bar, located right by the stadium. Modern, decked out in black and amber, and always full of Tigers fans on matchdays. It’s the closest you’ll get to a fanzone atmosphere, with plenty of beer flowing, club colours everywhere, and a buzzing build-up before kick-off.
The Brickmakers Arms (Walton Street). Just a short walk from the MKM, this traditional pub is hugely popular with City fans. Known for its real ales and football buzz, it gets rammed before games with chants, banter, and a proper old-school matchday feel.
The Admiral of the Humber (Anlaby Road, City Centre). A large Wetherspoons pub about 10 minutes from the stadium. Spacious, cheap, and always full of black-and-amber shirts, it’s ideal for big groups looking for affordable pints and an easy pre-match meeting point.
The Parkers (Walton Street). Another classic Hull pub near the stadium. Loud, busy, and full of locals, it delivers that traditional football pub atmosphere, making it a favourite stop for long-time City supporters.
The Hop & Vine (Albion Street, City Centre). Part micropub, part craft beer haven, this spot is popular with fans who prefer something more laid-back. A great option if you’re staying in the city centre and want a quality pint with a calmer build-up.
The Minerva (Nelson Street, Marina). About a 20-minute walk (or quick taxi) from the ground, this historic riverside pub offers great beer, good food, and views of Hull Marina. Popular with locals and travelling supporters, it’s lively but less intense than the pubs right next to the stadium.
The Admiral of the Humber (Wetherspoons, City Centre). Often used as a meeting point for fans coming in by train. With plenty of space, cheap food and drink, and screens showing the early kick-offs, it’s a handy starting spot before the short walk or taxi to the MKM.
The Whalebone (Wincolmlee). A community favourite a little further out, known for its real ales and quirky decor. More relaxed than the hardcore football pubs, but still a popular choice with matchgoing Tigers on home fixtures.
