Country: United Kingdom

The Ground

  • Pirelli Stadium, located on Princess Way in Burton upon Trent, Staffordshire, has been the home of Burton Albion Football Club since 2005.

  • The stadium officially opened in July 2005, replacing the Brewers’ historic Eton Park home, which had served the club since 1958. Named after the Italian tyre manufacturer Pirelli, whose UK headquarters are based in Burton and who donated the land, the stadium was purpose-built to meet Football League standards as Burton Albion’s ambitions grew. Its single-tier stands ensure excellent sightlines and bring supporters close to the action, creating an intimate and lively matchday experience.

  • Today, the Pirelli Stadium is owned and operated by Burton Albion FC and has an all-seated and terraced capacity of around 6,912. The ground comprises four stands, with seating in the Main Stand and terracing for standing supporters along the other three sides. This blend preserves the traditional feel of lower-league football while still offering modern amenities.

  • Situated about a mile east of Burton town centre, the stadium is easily accessible by car and public transport, with Burton-on-Trent railway station around a 20-minute walk away.
