St. Johnstone FC Ground & Tickets

Ground: McDiarmid Park

Capacity: 10,696

Location: Crieff Road, Perth

Country: Scotland, United Kingdom

The Ground

McDiarmid Park, located on the western edge of Perth, has been the home of St Johnstone F.C. since 1989. It was the first purpose-built all-seater stadium in the UK, marking a new era in Scottish football stadium design.

With a capacity of just over 10,000, the ground is fully enclosed with four single-tier stands of similar size, creating a compact and symmetrical layout. The Main (West) Stand is slightly larger and houses the main facilities, while the North Stand typically accommodates away supporters.

Unlike many older Scottish grounds, McDiarmid Park feels modern and functional, with good sightlines throughout. While sometimes described as lacking the tight intensity of older stadiums, it offers comfort, accessibility, and a clean matchday experience.
