The Ground
With a capacity of around 7,700, Sixfields offers an intimate matchday experience where supporters are close to the action.
The stadium is made up of four stands. The West Stand is the main structure, housing club offices, hospitality suites, changing rooms, and the dugouts. Opposite is the East Stand, which has undergone redevelopment to expand seating and improve facilities. Behind the goals, the North Stand typically hosts the most vocal home supporters, while the South Stand is often allocated to away fans.
Sixfields is conveniently located just off the A45 and within easy reach of the M1, making it straightforward for both home and travelling fans to get there by car. Northampton railway station is about two miles away, with local buses and taxis providing links to the ground. Its position on the outskirts means fans can also take advantage of nearby retail parks, restaurants, and pubs for pre- and post-match gatherings.
Sixfields Stadium, situated on the western edge of Northampton, has been the home of Northampton Town Football Club since 1994. Replacing the club’s historic County Ground, the move to Sixfields marked a modern chapter in the Cobblers’ history, providing improved facilities and a more football-focused setting.
