By train

  • Train to Barrow‑in‑Furness Station, located about 0.7 miles (approximately a 10–15 minute walk) from Holker Street. Regular services run on the Furness Line / Cumbrian Coast Line, connecting Barrow to Lancaster, Carlisle, and other regional hubs.

By Car

  • Through the M6 then follow the A590. Parking Options: Official Parking: At the stadium: No dedicated parking, but a limited match-day car park adjacent to the club’s reception is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Alternative Parking: APCOA Car Park near the train station ) Pay-and-display on Whittaker Street, Ambrose Car Park. Street parking: Available nearby, but be sure to check restrictions, early arrival is advised.

  • Distance: Approximately 56 miles (90 km). Frequently noted as the closest major commercial airport.

  • Manchester Airport (MAN)

  • Distance: Around 65 miles (105 km). Offers the best range of domestic and international flights, including direct rail links to Barrow.

  • The Cross Bar (Holker Street Stadium). Located inside the ground itself, The Cross Bar is Barrow’s official matchday bar. It’s the most convenient option for fans heading straight into the game, with plenty of drinks, screens showing football, and a lively atmosphere right on the doorstep of the pitch.

  • The Soccer Bar (Wilkie Road). Situated directly beside Holker Street, The Soccer Bar is the go-to pre-match meeting point for Bluebirds supporters. Expect a passionate local following, a classic football pub vibe, and plenty of banter in the build-up to kick-off.

  • Ambrose Hotel (Duke Street). Around a 10-minute walk from the stadium, the Ambrose is a traditional pub known for its cask ales and welcoming atmosphere. It draws both locals and travelling fans, making it a solid option for those looking for a proper pint before the game.

  • Duke of Edinburgh (Abbey Road, town centre). Roughly 10 minutes on foot from Holker Street, this boutique-style hotel bar offers a more upmarket feel.   • Hawcoat Park Sports Club (Hawcoat Lane). About a 30-minute walk or short drive from the ground, this community sports club is popular with away supporters. It provides plenty of space, affordable drinks, and a friendly, welcoming environment.

  • The Newton Arms (Dalton-in-Furness). Located around a 10-minute drive away in nearby Dalton, The Newton Arms is often used as a designated away pub. It offers ample parking, a good selection of drinks, and a lively but good-natured crowd on matchdays.

  • The Furness Railway (Abbey Road, Barrow town centre). A Wetherspoons pub in the middle of Barrow, about a 20-minute walk or short taxi ride from Holker Street. With cheap food and drink, plenty of space, and early opening hours, it’s a reliable choice for groups and those travelling in by train.

  • The Townhouse (Schneider Square, Barrow town centre). Also in the centre of Barrow, The Townhouse is a modern bar-restaurant offering a wide range of drinks and meals. It’s a little further from the ground but works well for fans making a full day of their trip or looking for a post-match stop.
