Kifisia FC Crest History

The crest used between 2021 and 2024 reflected Kifisia FC's rapid rise through the Greek football pyramid and retained a traditional football identity. The badge featured a blue oval containing vertical blue-and-white stripes, symbolising the club's colours. At the top sat a football, while three blue stars crowned the emblem, representing the club's ambition and progress. Around the upper edge appeared the Greek words Αθλητική Ένωση ("Athletic Union"), with Κηφισιά (Kifisia) prominently displayed across the centre and Π.Α.Ε. (Football Public Limited Company) at the bottom. The design combined classic football imagery with references to the club's identity and professional status.

In 2024, Kifisia FC unveiled a completely redesigned crest as part of a broader rebranding that coincided with the club's growing national profile. The new badge adopted a modern shield shape with the words KIFISIA FOOTBALL CLUB across the top. At its centre is a stylised plane tree leaf, inspired by the famous tree-lined streets and green character of the municipality of Kifisia, one of Athens' most historic and leafy suburbs. The leaf is enclosed within a circular frame, while green accents on either side subtly reinforce the connection to the area's parks and natural environment. Three stars remain above the crest as a link to the previous identity, while the year 1932 is displayed at the bottom to honour the origins of organised football in Kifisia, despite the modern club itself being founded through a merger in 2012. 

Kifisia FC Club History

Kifisia Football Club was founded in 2012 following the merger of A.O. Kifisia, one of the oldest clubs in the northern Athens suburb of Kifisia, and Kifissos Kato Kifisias. The merger was intended to unite local football under a single club capable of competing at a higher level in the Greek football pyramid while preserving the area's long football tradition, which dates back to 1932.

The club spent its early years in the regional divisions of Athens before earning promotion to the Gamma Ethniki, Greece's third tier. Kifisia quickly established itself as one of the division's strongest clubs, investing in its infrastructure, youth development, and first-team squad. Steady progress culminated in promotion to the Super League 2 in 2021, marking the beginning of the most successful period in the club's short history.

During the 2022–23 season, under coach Giannis Anastasiou, Kifisia enjoyed a remarkable campaign, finishing top of the Super League 2 South Group. The club secured promotion to the Greek Super League for the first time in its history, becoming one of the fastest-rising clubs in Greek football. The achievement was celebrated as a milestone for both the club and the municipality of Kifisia.

Kifisia competed in the 2023–24 Super League, facing Greece's traditional football powers for the first time. Although the club fought hard throughout the season, it was unable to avoid relegation and returned to Super League 2 after one year in the top flight. Despite the setback, the experience significantly raised the club's profile and demonstrated its ambition to establish itself among Greece's leading clubs.

In 2024, Kifisia introduced a new visual identity featuring a modern crest inspired by the municipality's famous plane trees, reflecting a broader effort to strengthen the club's brand and connection with the local community. That same season, the club mounted another strong promotion challenge.

Kifisia bounced back immediately by winning the 2024–25 Super League 2 championship, earning promotion back to the Greek Super League after just one season away. The rapid return to the top division confirmed the club's status as one of Greece's most ambitious emerging sides and highlighted the effectiveness of its long-term sporting project.

Although still a young club in its current form, Kifisia has developed local rivalries with fellow Athens clubs such as Athens Kallithea, Ionikos, and Egaleo.
