The Ground

Broadhall Way, officially known as The Lamex Stadium for sponsorship purposes, has been the home of Stevenage Football Club since 1980. Located on the southern edge of the Hertfordshire town, the ground has played host to the club’s journey from non-league football to the English Football League, becoming a symbol of Stevenage’s rise and ambition.

  • The Lamex Stadium currently holds around 7,800 spectators, with a mix of seating and standing areas that give it an intimate yet lively atmosphere on matchdays. While modest in size compared to higher-league venues, its compact design ensures supporters are close to the action, helping to generate a passionate and sometimes intimidating environment for visiting teams.

  • The ground is made up of four stands, each serving a distinct role. The Main Stand, running along the west side, houses the club’s offices, hospitality areas, and the changing rooms. Opposite is the East Terrace, a covered standing area where home fans create much of the noise. Behind the north goal is the North Stand, an all-seater stand often allocated to away supporters, while the South Stand provides a modern all-seater option for home fans, complete with improved facilities.

  • Situated just off the A602 and within walking distance of Stevenage railway station, the stadium is easily accessible for both local and travelling supporters. Its location also places it near the town centre, allowing fans to enjoy pre- and post-match amenities. Over the years, there have been gradual improvements to seating, concourses, and matchday facilities, reflecting the club’s steady growth while maintaining a grounded, community feel.
